Clemenger's Cottage is named after William Clemenger, the first Post Master of Gundaroo. This heritage-listed, historic cottage was build in 1887 and was William's home. Over many decades this small cottage has had many lives, including being the local Post Office and the local General store. It is now fitted out as a homey cottage as part of The Nest at Gundaroo's offerings.
The cottage has a Queen bed in one room, and two single beds in another. There is a lounge and full kitchen - and a bathroom with shower. A wood-fired heater is available from April to October each year, and there is reverse-cycle air-conditioning for other times of the year -- though with the solid walls, this little cottage is delightfully cool on hot summer days.
