The Nest at Gundaroo is a family-owned small business providing luxury, short-stay accommodation, only a 30 minute drive from Canberra's CBD. Opened in December 2015 and with a focus on great service, we are perfect for quiet weekends, celebrations and wedding parties.

Gundaroo's historic charm is complemented with great food and wine; Grazing, Cork Street Cafe Pizzeria, Gundaroo Colonial Inn, Gundog Estate Cellardoor Cafe (generally open Wed/Thu - Sun). Book early to avoid disappointment.

The Heron

Our purpose-built bridal suite. Large villa with king bed, double bath and shower, kitchen, dining, lounge and verandah. Free parking. Free internet. Wood-fired heater and reverse cycle air conditioning.

Cockatoo and Magpie Villas

King bed, lounge, dining, kitchenette, bathroom with large walk-in shower. Cockatoo has additional day bed and disabled access. Both have free parking and internet. Wood-fired heater and reverse cycle air conditioning.

The Kestrel and Rosella Villas

Two story loft villas with king bed, lounge, dining, kitchenette, bathroom with large walk-in shower and verandah. Rosella has an additional sofa-bed. Both have free parking and internet. Wood-fired heater and reverse cycle air conditioning. Flight of stairs which could present challenges for the elderly or very young toddlers.

The Nest has bookings for up to 18 months in advance, so please book and secure your villa/s to avoid disappointment

Front Desk Hours

We often have staff on site between 10am and 1pm but rely majorly on self check-in and provide full details to guests the day before they arrive. We go out of our way to help guests settle in. Just give us a call if you need assistance to check in or once you arrive.
