Murrumbateman Field Days (17-18 October 2026)

Every October, the village of Murrumbateman hosts one of the region’s best-loved country events. The Murrumbateman Field Days is Yass Valley’s outdoor extravaganza.

What to expect

You’ll find more than 300 exhibitors across two full days covering everything from tractors, machinery and livestock to building, home improvement, fashion and local food and wine. There are hands-on demonstrations and family entertainment all weekend. It’s as much a day out for the kids as it is a shopping trip for anyone else.

A proper community event

The Field Days began in 1979 with just 23 exhibitors. It was set up to help the district’s small-acreage and hobby farmers. More than 45 years on, it’s still run by the Murrumbateman Community Association and powered by local volunteers. Much of the money raised goes straight back to local clubs, schools, the RFS and other community groups.

• When: Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, gates open from 8am
• Where: Murrumbateman Recreation Ground, 19 East Street, Murrumbateman
• Tickets: Buy online or at the gate. The gate takes card only, no cash.
• Dogs: Not permitted
